Linux
I have an 141C and I am thinking of installing Linux as the performance of this machine is not the best. Does it get any better with Linux? I don't mind losing sound as the speakers aren't that good anyway. can you share more information on how you managed to get Linux on it?
@kostogiannakis: Sorry for long dellay...and my english :) With my experince I can tell, that with Lubuntu is this machine usable better than with Win 10, but I didn’t find a way how to make sound swichable between internal speakers and 3,5mm audio output, so audio was working on 3,5mm audio output with headphones or external speakers. I don’t have this machine anymore, so I can’t test latest versions of Lubuntu with LXDE (18.04) or with LXQt (20.04) for changes in audio behaviour. In instalation proces I found a problem with missing 32bit efi file in 64bit instalation image (but it’s a problem of BIOS which can’t run 64bit efi file), so this must be downloaded and copied to /EFI/BOOT/ directory of the image or instalation flash disk. Instalation must be in uefi mode and I prepared EFI partiton manualy with GParted before instalation proces (100 MB FAT32 formated partition, then boot and esp flags set).
