Král bojovníků, mistr Khan, nejnebezpečnější muž na Zemi, byl během svého dlouhého života znám pod mnoha jmény a stal se legendární a téměř mystickou postavou. Před tisíci lety našel takzvaných "Deset kruhů", sadu složenou z deseti kovových prstenců prastarého a neznámého původu, které mu propůjčily nevídanou moc a nesmrtelnost a zároveň ho pro jeho stoupence proměnily v mýtus, přičemž o jeho existenci věděli jen ti nejdůvěryhodnější. Nosí černý bojový oděv s modrými detaily a díky  staleté praxi válečníka a dobyvatele s jedinečnou obratností manipuluje se svými mocnými mystickými kruhy. Chystá se postavit svému největšímu rivalovi, vlastnímu synovi Shang-Chi. Iron Studios přinášejí sošku obávaného "Wenwu BDS - Shang-Chi - Art Scale 1/10", neúprosného vůdce a pána Deseti kruhů, teroristické a zločinecké organizace působící od středověku.

Xu Wenwu se etabloval jako legendární a obávaný válečník, cestoval po Asii, budoval moc Deseti kruhů a dobýval všechny země, po kterých toužil. V novověku Wenwu dál usiloval o moc a našel starobylé město Ta Lo, o němž se říkalo, že ho obývají mystické bestie, které mohou rozšířit jeho moc. Zamiloval se do strážkyně Ta Lo, Ying Li, s níž měl dvě děti, Shang-Chi a Xu Xialing. Po smrti své milované ženy od dětství cvičil Shang-Chi, aby pomstil její smrt, ale byl opuštěn vlastním synem, který se vzbouřil. Když uslyšel hlas své zesnulé ženy a uvěřil, že je naživu a je držena jako vězeň v Ta Lo, zmobilizoval svou armádu, aby napadla a prolomila Temnou bránu, dimenzionální průchod vedle mystické vesnice Ta Lo, který chrání Zemi před nepřátelskou rasou okřídlených bytostí, jež se živí dušemi. Když se však Wenwu setkal se svým synem a uvědomil si, že je manipulován silami démona požírajícího duše, Obyvatele v temnotě (The Dweller-in-Darkness), obětoval se, aby ochránil Shang-Chiho, a předal mu Deset kruhů.
